Brent has over 25 years of surveying experience, most of that for Canadian Hydrographic Service (CHS). He has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Victoria and a Diploma of Technology in Geomatics from British Columbia Institute of Technology. He is a commissioned Canada Lands Surveyor and is currently working towards his designation as an IHO Professional Hydrographer. He has explored the BC Coast from the Salish Sea to Haida Gwaii to the Alaskan border as a lead hydrographer for the Canadian Hydrographic Service conducting and processing high resolution multibeam bathymetric and backscatter survey data for engineering, navigational and scientific projects.
Brent also enjoys solid ground by playing soccer, hiking and camping with family and his Australian Shepherd, and sitting down to read a book.
