Open Ocean Robotics CEO Winner of the Innovator Award in the BC Business Women of the Year Awards

March 28, 2020

BCBusiness Magazine’s Women of the Year Awards highlights exceptional female business leaders in British Columbia, a province that has remarkable women pushing frontiers in technology, innovation and more. Open Ocean Robotics is honoured that our CEO, Julie Angus, won the Innovator Award.

In addition to the Innovator Award, there were five other categories: Leader, Entrepreneurial Leader, Community Builder, Change Maker and Rising Star.  Each of these award winners and four finalists in each category represent exceptional talent that is helping make British Columbia a better place to live and do business.   It’s an honour to be a part of this thriving ecosystem and we are exciting to continue to build innovative technologies that can help us better understand and protect our oceans.

The finalists for the inaugural competition, who hail from organizations large and small across the province, were chosen by a panel of four judges.  A gala celebration will be held in September at the Vancouver Club in Vancouver and the women are also featured in the April issue of BCBusiness.
